From the perspective of Emotionally Focused Therapy, complaints of discrepant desire, arousal or orgasm issues, boredom in the bedroom are often part of an underlying lack of security and bond in the relationship caused by the negative cycle between partners. At times, as the partners de-escalate and become more secure, sexual issues remain unresolved. Many EFT therapists struggle to remain hopeful in the face of complex sexual impasses.
You have taken our "Sex as a Safe Adventures: Connecting sexually and emotionally through EFT" workshop — now let’s get our hands dirty together and apply the learning to your challenging cases where once you have effectively created security in the relational/emotional cycle, it doesn’t naturally bring sex back online. 6 therapists will have an opportunity to present their challenging cases and receive feedback from Zoya and Mike.
