As a therapist I bring empathy, safety and compassion to my counseling sessions with clients, as well as a no-nonsense approach that cuts through to the real issues affecting the well being of my clients. Acting from the strengths perspective, I work to help people find their inner resources, allowing them to heal, grow, thrive, and create the best relationships and lives they can envision.  I am trained in the relational and psychodynamic approaches, as well as Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy, and I bring mindfulness into my work with clients.  I specialize in helping individuals and couples through difficult transition periods in their lives, and have worked with couples who are struggling with issues of monogamy/non monogamy, long-distance and sero-discordance.  I have experience in helping both heterosexual and LGBTQ individuals and couples overcome obstacles to reach a more intimate, connected relationship, and can help with issues of parenting and step-parenting, as well as navigating the challenges with parenting special needs children.  I am experienced in working with clients struggling with gender identity, sexual identity, coming out and sexual issues.  I am an active member of the American Family Therapy Academy (AFTA) as well as a member of NYCEFT and ICEEFT.  I speak Hebrew fluently.
